Quantitative Filter Paper NO. 74
Ahlstrom manufactures a series of extremely high purity, acid washed filter papers designed for use in analyticaland gravimetric analysis. The quantitative grades aremanufactured from top quality cotton linters using ultra-pure, reverse-osmosis water and are furthertreated with dilute acid to remove any remaining organicand inorganic impurities. All quantitative grades aremanufactured in a strictly controlled environment thatensures high uniformity and high purity from filter to filter.

Ashless Grades (Ash 0.007%)
These standard ashless grades are high purity filter papers suitable forroutine quantitative gravimetric techniques and in the preparation ofsamples for use in analysis involving instrumental techniques.
Ahlstrom 74: 2.0μm – Medium Speed
This grade has medium flow rate andgood particle retention and is the mostcommonly used acid-washed filter.Ahlstrom 74 covers a wide range ofgeneral ashless filtration applications. It is used for gravimetric analysis ofnumerous components (e.g.: cements, copper, clay, bismuth, silicon, iron)found in heavy industries such asconstruction, mining or steel. Ahlstrom74 is also used as a high purity filter forspeedy filtering of trace elements suchas silver chromate, lead sulfate, zincand ammonium hydroxides. Ahlstrom 74is also found in general soil analysis forseparating solid from aqueous extracts.
