The all polyethylene and polypropylene construction is designed for hard, long-term use in the field. All parts including the spigot can be disassembled for thorough cleaning. Water and sediment samples typically are gathered in 472ml or 946ml (1 pint or 1 quart) bottles and combined in the sample churn to make a composite, representative sample of the stream flow or body of water. The churn homogenizes the composite sample that is then divided into the required four to sixteen representative sub samples. The churn has a unique hole pattern and orienting notch for optimal mixing. A built-in full open lever stop on the spigot ensures reproducible dispensing of sub samples. Select churn size to match sampling protocol.Quickly and consistently divide representative water samples from flowing streams
