Terms and Conditions
Orders / Shipping
Placing an order with Nurnberg Scientific is easy and convenient. Your requests may be submitted by phone, mail, email, or online. For best order accuracy, please include the catalog number, quantity of each item and an item description. Nurnberg Scientific has no minimum order level, supplier minimums may apply. Current pricing will be furnished by your sales representative, customer service representative, or via online accounts. In addition, price quotes are available by phone, email, or online from your sales representative or customer service representative. Nurnberg Scientific accepts purchase orders with approved credit terms, check, cash, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. All payments must be made in US Dollars. Generally, orders will be processed the same day it is received. An order acknowledgment will be emailed for each order. Included in the acknowledgment are the items ordered, quantities ordered, disposition (in stock, back ordered or direct shipped from the supplier), unit price, and extended price. Please always review this for accuracy upon receipt. Orders will ship within 24 hours if the item is in stock at Nurnberg. Please note the website does not track our available stock. All shipping instructions will be followed as closely as possible. However, we reserve the right to change the method for items which, when required by regulations or in our judgment, cannot be shipped by the method you specified. If special needs arise for shipping, please include instructions with the order. Otherwise, the quickest and most cost-effective method will be used. Normal shipping terms are FOB shipping point. Any rush, special requirements or hazardous shipments will incur additional cost. If you have a preferred carrier, please provide the carrier and the freight collect account number at the time of order. We can save the carrier information for future orders as well.
Cancellations
An order acknowledgment will be issued with each order. Included in the acknowledgment are the items ordered, quantities ordered, disposition (in stock, back ordered or direct shipped from the supplier), unit price, and extended price. Ordered items may only be cancelled if the item has not already been shipped, either by the supplier or Nurnberg Scientific. All custom and made to order items are NOT able to be cancelled once the order is processed.
Remittances/Communications
For proper credit or application to your account please include your customer number and invoice number on all remittances and communications.
Returns policy
All claims for damages and/or shortages MUST be reported WITHIN 5 DAYS after delivery. A restocking fee of up to 20% or the manufacturers restock fee (whichever is higher) may be charged. Freight charges are not refundable. The manufacturers have the choice to return or replace defective items. Please note custom or special-order items are not eligible for return or credit, this includes ANY items not regularly stocked at Nurnberg. The following items are NOT returnable: chemicals, used items, refrigerated items and sterile items. RETURNS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION. All items including defective items are covered only by warranty extended from the original manufacturer. Nurnberg Scientific does not offer any additional warranty coverage on any item.
Waiver of Defects by Retention of Possession
A retention of the goods for 30 days or more from the date of receipt constitutes a trial and acceptance, unless notice is given prior to 30 days of a defect in the goods and is a conclusive admission of the truth of all representations made by or for the seller, and voids all contracts of warranty, whether express or implied.
Force Majure statement
In the event that Nurnberg Scientific, Inc. shall be prevented from completing performance of its obligations hereunder by an act of God or any other occurrence whatsoever which is beyond the control of the parties hereto, then it shall be excused from any further performance of its obligations and undertakings hereunder. If, however, performance by Nurnberg Scientific, Inc. is not prevented but is instead interrupted or delayed by any occurrence not occasioned by the conduct of Nurnberg Scientific, Inc. such as but not limited to an act of God or the act of conduct of any other person or entity not an agent or employee of Nurnberg Scientific, Inc., then performance shall be excused for such period of time as is necessary after such occurrence in order to remedy the effects thereof.
